Participants receive an opportunity to experience modeled virtual instruction, reimagine their own content and instructional practices in a virtual or hybrid setting, and explore the following 6 remote learning design principles through collaborative and engaging activities:

Social & Emotional Learning

Connection to Families & Students

Student Engagement Aligned to Standards

Flexibility & Choice for Diverse Needs

Feedback on Student Work

Collaboration Among Students

OnRamp to Remote Learning has been created by a diverse team at the Allegheny Intermediate Unit with expertise in educational technology, literacy, special education, assistive technology, STEM, and computer science.

This foundational training is a perfect precursor to the synchronous and asynchronous content provided on this website.
